PS3 Home & Little Big Planet Make Top 10 Vaporware List
Both PS3 Home and Little Big Planet are probably the top two most exciting products that Sony announced in 2007.
However, neither PlayStation 3 offering actually made it to the public by year's end, and for that, Wired's Game Life has named both in their annual Top Ten Vaporware Games of 2007.
PS3 Home took the #1 spot on the list due to various reasons including: "It has the potential to take the PlayStation 3's online experience and make it a compelling feature of the platform. It's potentially disruptive. It could move a lot of hardware if it's an enticing enough proposition. So...where the hell is it? It was also supposed to be widely available by now, but Kaz Hirai delayed it at Tokyo Game Show."
Dragon Quest IX, a DS title, was number two. Third up was Little Big Planet.
"I hate that this is on the list," lamented Chris Kohler.
"Sony knocked everyone's collective socks off at GDC this year with this adorable, creative make-your-own-platformer game. At E3, they let us play it and it was even more fun. And then, despite promises that it would debut this year on PlayStation Network, it was quietly pushed into 2008."
