Nintendo Wii Wins Gadget, Console Of The Year
Wii is both the gadget and the console of the year, according to the judges of the 4th Annual Pocket-Lint Gadget Awards.
It's not the first nor the last award that Nintendo Wii will pick up this season.
"The aim of the Pocket-lint Gadget Awards is to give consumers the definitive guide to what is the best gadget of 2007, whether it's laptops or mobile phones, so they know they aren't buying a gadget turkey this Christmas," said Stuart Miles, editor of Pocket-lint.
The Wii also impressed as the only product to score top points from every single judge. The other consoles in competition were the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Apple, considered another favorite for the iPod Touch, was beaten by an underdog. The Touch lost out to the lesser known Archos 605 Wi-Fi in the best mp3 player category. However, the Best Smartphone prize did go to the iPhone.
