PS3 Bests Wii And Xbox 360 In Play Pre-Orders

It looks like Europe wants its PS3 badly -- even more than Wii or Xbox 360 if one were to analyze pre-orders alone from well-known retailer Play.com.

PS3 News is reporting that PS3 pre-orders are fifteen times more than Wii, while Xbox 360 trails by a six to one margin. Apparently, the retailer did have problem sfulfilling pre-orders for Wii and they are taking precautions to make sure that the PlayStation 3 Europe launch goes more smoothly.

"We underestimated the demand and we were very disappointed that we could not fulfil all pre-orders due to stock shortages," confessed Play.com Head Of Games Gian Luzio.

"We know that this disappointed some of our customers and we wanted to ensure that we did not face the same situation again. We have been working hard with Sony to make sure that we can deliver every pre-order on the release date , We are pleased to be able to offer our customers the service they expect from Play.com.”
